App development · Sarasota, FL

The software you can't buy off the shelf.

Booking systems, dashboards, internal tools, member portals — custom applications for Sarasota businesses that don't work like everyone else's, and shouldn't have to pretend they do.

  • $400 discovery week
  • Then a fixed quote for the build
  • Shipped in stages, not one big reveal

What gets built

Most of it replaces a spreadsheet.

The usual starting point is a process held together by a shared sheet, three inboxes and someone's memory.

Booking and scheduling

Customers book themselves in, the calendar stays honest, and the reminder emails go out without anyone remembering to send them. Payments taken up front if you want them.

  • Availability rules that match reality
  • Automatic confirmations and reminders
  • Deposits or full payment via Stripe

Dashboards and internal tools

The screen your team actually works from: jobs, stock, clients, whatever the business runs on, in one place with the right people able to change the right things.

  • Accounts and permissions
  • Reporting that answers your questions
  • Installs onto phones — no app store needed

Member and client portals

Somewhere your customers log in to see their own things — documents, invoices, progress, history — instead of emailing you to ask where something is.

  • Secure sign-in and password resets
  • Subscriptions and recurring billing
  • An admin side you can actually use

Why it starts with $400

Nobody can quote software they haven't mapped.

Anyone who gives you a firm number for a custom app in the first meeting is guessing, and that guess gets corrected later — always upwards, usually mid-build.

  1. 01

    A paid week of mapping

$400 buys a week of working through every feature, screen and edge case with you. Not a sales exercise — actual work, and the output is yours.

  2. 02

An honest read on what's hard

Some of what you want is an afternoon. Some of it is three weeks and should probably wait for version two. You find out which is which before you commit.

  3. 03

A fixed price for the build

The map becomes a written scope with one number and a delivery date. If you take that document to another developer instead, that's a fine outcome — it's yours either way.

  4. 04

    Built in stages

You see working software early and often, not one big reveal at the end. It is far cheaper to change your mind in week two than in week eight.

Questions

The ones people actually ask.

Is this an iPhone app?

Usually it doesn't need to be. What I build installs onto a phone from the browser and sits on the home screen like any other app — without app store review, two codebases, or Apple's 30%.

What does the build itself cost?

It depends entirely on what the discovery week finds, which is the point of having one. Small internal tools land in the low thousands; anything with payments and accounts costs more.

What if I need changes later?

Software is never finished. Ongoing work runs through a care plan, or as separate fixed-price pieces when you want something bigger.

Just need a website rather than software? That is web design. Need an existing app kept alive? That is a care plan.

Tell me what you're building.

Describe the process you're trying to fix and you'll hear back within one business day — including if the honest answer is that software you can buy already does it.
